Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

1. Nature of the Protocol

Gliard ("Gliard Protocol", "we", "our", or "the software") is an open-source, non-custodial software utility designed to facilitate peer-to-peer cryptocurrency payment requests and decentralized token exchange intents across supported blockchains (including Solana, Base, Arbitrum, Ethereum, and Polygon) via the Discord chat platform.

Gliard is strictly non-custodial: Gliard does not take custody of, hold, manage, store, or transmit your digital assets, cryptocurrencies, or private cryptographic keys at any point. All transactions are compiled as unsigned transaction intents and executed directly by users through their independent third-party Web3 wallets (e.g. Phantom, Solflare, MetaMask, Rabby).

2. User Responsibility & Blockchain Risk Disclosure

By interacting with Gliard, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:

  • Irreversibility: Transactions confirmed on public blockchains are immutable and irreversible. We cannot recover, refund, or reverse any funds sent to incorrect addresses or networks.
  • Key Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your private keys and seed phrases. Gliard developers will never request your private keys, seed phrases, or wallet passwords.
  • Gas & Network Fees: Blockchain networks require gas or transaction fees (in SOL, ETH, or POL) to process transactions. You are responsible for ensuring adequate balances to execute transactions.
  • Volatility: Cryptocurrency assets are subject to market volatility. You accept all inherent economic risks associated with trading, swapping, or transferring digital assets.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Gliard Protocol for any unlawful purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Engaging in fraudulent schemes, phishing, scams, money laundering, or terrorist financing.
  • Interfering with, disrupting, or overwhelming Gliard infrastructure through automated denial-of-service attacks or malicious scraping.
  • Violating the official Discord Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

4. DEX Swaps & Third-Party Solvers

DEX swap features are routed via independent decentralized liquidity protocols and third-party solvers (including Li.Fi Solver). Gliard does not operate an exchange, broker-dealer, or financial intermediary service. Slippage, liquidity availability, and execution routes are determined autonomously by decentralized liquidity protocols.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

Gliard Protocol is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Under no circumstances shall the creators, contributors, or maintainers of Gliard be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from blockchain network congestion, smart contract execution errors, user misconfigurations, third-party wallet failures, or lost digital assets.

6. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued interaction with Gliard after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
